Hi,

I bought the TUB320EVM kit and i am trying to use it as DFP, so my setup is: PC connecting to the EVM (micro usb connector) and the EVM connecting to my phone Samsung galaxy S8 (type c connector).
The PC can communicate with the phone and the phone showing a charging symbol but the phone doesn't charging.
The EVM seems do identified the phone and goes to DFP mode but it doesn't charge.
Also I'm using a GPIO mode.

Hi Meir,

Are you removing the resistor R12 for GPIO mode?

Hello omar,

We are working on a new design with Galaxy S8 (as a host) and we using USB interface with it and the USB HUB (TUSB8044) by a Type C connector.

We need to add a Power Delivery for charging the phone so we can use charging and data transfer at the same time.

we already tested the TUSB321 and it's not working....

Can you help us define the correct chip using the in this project?

attached PDF - "HW_block diagram_Description" of our project.

We using just one type C connector, from the USB HUB to the phone.

All the rest connectors are type A USB connectors.

Hi Luis, and thank you for your replay!!

I didn't remove any resistor, i used the DRP switch table (table 5) in the EVM user's guide.

can you please help me?
