PCA9306: PCA9306 - On Resistance when Vref1 = 1.8V and Vref2 = 3.3V and Isink = 4mA

Part Number: PCA9306

Hi,

I am using the PCA9306 to translate from 1.8V (VREF1) to 3.3V (VREF2) side, having a drive of 4mA

> What would be the Ron (ON Resistance), when the Vin = 0. That is when the SDA1 is Low (0V)?

> What would be the voltage on Ven pin. Is there any detail to understand how the Vref2 regulates Ven?

Could you kindly provide me answers for these.

Thanks

  • Hello Navneeth,

The datasheet states the Rds at various VEN voltages.

We have several posts that cover how the PCA9306 works.  I am not sure you are aware that E2E is searchable.  I simply entered "PCA9306 How Does It Work" and several posts came up.  By doing this you can find most commonly asked questions.  It also reduces the number of new posts making our search engine more efficient.

Here is one of the posts that describes how the PCA9306 works.

Please let me know if you still have questions or search other posts to get more information.  Lots of great information in the database.  If you can't find the answer to your specific question please feel free to post the question.
