Part Number: TCA9539-Q1
Hi Team,
When using the TCA9539-Q1 as an output, how can I verify that the output will remain low during start up?
Does the TCA9539-Q1 support a pull-down resistor in the outputs?

Hey Deigo,
"When using the TCA9539-Q1 as an output, how can I verify that the output will remain low during start up?"
This device does not initially start up as an output, it is configured as a high impedance input upon start up (floating). Using pull down resistors will work.
"Does the TCA9539-Q1 support a pull-down resistor in the outputs? "
Having pull down resistors on the device should not be a problem as long as the maximum current output on the ports are not violated when the device is set to an output. (total from p0-p7 and p10-17 should not be greater than 80 mA in each total). Recommended limits are defined by junction temperature seen on section 6.3
Thanks,
