Hi all,

I want convert 3G-SDI signal to MIPI CSI-2, support 1920x1080@60fps. Does TI have a solution to this problem?.

Hi Bang,

Unfortunately, we do not have a single IC solution that performs this. SDI conversion to other interface outputs are typically implemented through FPGA or ASIC.

However, we do have signal conditioning products such as Cable EQ devices that perform conditioning on the SDI signal before entering the FPGA.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your help. Can you advise me IC cable EQ devices and function of this?. I do not understand fucntion "perform conditioning on the SDI signal" as you said.

Hi Bang,

An example of a 3G-SDI Cable EQ is the LMH0324, which is a device that adaptively equalizes based on the length of cable you insert on the BNC connector. The Cable EQ provides frequency-dependent equalization to counteract the effect of attenuation loss over frequency that naturally occurs as the cable length prior to your BNC connector increases.
