Does the TCA8418 store the programmed profile/config onboard ? IE, what happens when the power is removed ?Can the chip be programmed and then used as a stand-alone controller, not always being connected to a microprocessor ?

    Hi Andre,

    The TCA8418 does not have any non-volatile memory, and so it needs to be configured each time it is powered up. (The configuration registers are reset to default values during a power cycle.)
