Hi,

last week we've bought a TMDS181RGZ Evaluation Module and testing the Eye Scan Tool it showed the HDMI2.0 bug mentioned in user guide (sllu228a.pdf) on page 11

even worse.

The question now is will we see the same error with evaluation module for SN76DP159 (DP159RGZ) ?

Datasheet/Userguide of the last-mentioned part (sllu225.pdf) do not mention the error but it is older by two month; could be that this error had not been found yet.

Hi Michael,

Yes, the eyescan issue is in both TMDS181 and DP159 devices.

Hi JMMN,

do you know by chance if there is another IC available which can do the eye scan job at 5.94Gbps ?

You know , it would be a nice "test coupon" for multi-board system qualification without the overhead/cost of sophisticated VNA/TDR measurement equipment.

Hi Michael,

We don't have a released device that is able to generate a valid eye scan at HDMI 2.0 speeds, but we will be including a fix for this issue in any future releases in these device families.
