Part Number: SN65DSI84-Q1

Can SN65DSI84-Q1 MIPI®D-PHY 1.00.00 connect with MIPI-DPHY version 1.1?

Cause the GPU is MIPI-DPHY version 1.1, not sure it can work correctly.

Pls advise.

Hi Piero,

That depends on whether or not MIPI D-PHY 1.1 is backwards compatible with MIPI D-PHY 1.00.00. I am not sure if that is the case but will check on that.

Hi Piero,

The modified conformance limits for version 1.1 have been widened with respect to the previous values in 1.00.00, so any implementation conformant to these parameters in v1.00.00 should also be conformant to the modified limits defined in v1.1.

So the versions are backwards compatible, and the SN65DSI84-Q1 should be able to connect to MIPI-DPHY version 1.1.
