SN65DSI86: Wire distance about SN65DSI86

My customer have a project use SN65DSI86 and transfer 1080p signal, and their wire distance maybe around 300mm.

They want to make sure the SN65DSI86 can support the wire distance.

Can I get some test data about the distance test?

What kind of wire or cable are you using over the 300mm distance?

Hi Malik

They use pair twist wire to transmit the signal. They have notebook supply resource.

And the impedance can control to 100 ohm pair.

They want to make sure 300mm cable is OK or not.

The 300mm cable should be okay to use. I would like to know what side of the device the cable is on, eDP or DSI?

Hi Malik
The SN65DSI86 would be at main board side, and SN65DSI86 output signal through 300mm cable

I believe your application will work with two SN65DSI86 over 300mm cable.

Do you need further support? If so what are you looking for specifically?
