UCC20520: UCC20520 output pins signals switched

Part Number: UCC20520

Hi there,

I seem to have an issue when using this gate driver to drive two n-channel MOSFET's in a motor controller circuit. It seems that the output B is in phase with the 31kHz PWM while output A is complementary to the PWM input form the datasheet this should be the other way around i have tried this on three gate drivers and am getting the same result each time. Is there reasoning behind this.

  • Hi Tomas,

Thank you for your interest in UCC20520. I'm an applications engineer with TI High Power Drivers group and can help review this.

You are correct that it should be the other way around - especially highlighted in Figure 38 of the datasheet. Can you please share your schematic, a scope shot of your measurements, and a picture of your test set up, so I can take a closer look?

    Best regards,

    John
  • Hi Tomas,
