UCC5320: is capacitor needed between VEE2 and GND2

Hi, my customer is using UCC5320E to drive IGBT.

In datasheet, there is no cap between VEE2 and GND2, he wonders if the cap is needed. If it's needed, what's the recommended value?

Hello Howard,
For bipolar operation, a capacitor between 220-nF and 10-uF should be selected for device biasing.
The recommended capacitor is a 50-V, 10-uF MLCC and a 0.22-uF MLCC capacitor in parallel.

At this time there is not a Q100 version for this device on the roadmap.
