TVS0500: limitation of SR<2.5V/us means it cannot be used for digital signal protection right?
It depends on how fast the rise time of the digital signals are. Many times the rise time of digital signals are intentionally slowed down to help from an EMI perspective and our devices work perfectly, however they are not a good fit for fast switching signals like IOLink. A reminder that the slew rate limit in the datasheet is 1mA of leakage current ok, which is usually not a big impact to the system.
