SN65DSI83: How to design and connect the SN65DSI83 SCL/SDA?

For SN65DSI83 SCL/SDA pin design, from the ref. schematic on EVM,

SCL/SDA need to connect to MIPI DDC(I2C) & als LVDS connector SCL/SDA,

What the purpose for this connection? Is it means SN65DSI83 need to communicate with MIPI & LVDS controller threw I2C for video resolution?

Could you please help to explain more details about the SN65DSI83 SCL/SDA design?

Hi Anne,

Which LVDS connector are you referencing? J2 and J5 on the reference schematic do not have SCL/SDA connections. For details on the i2c, please see section 7.5 of the datasheet: www.ti.com/.../sllsec1g.pdf

want to check with you that, the SN65DSI83 SCL/SDA pin design is for SN65DSI83's I2C control only, no need to connect with MIPI DDC to monitor the DDC(I2C) communicate, correct?
