DS90UR910-Q1: Can NOT receive any signal

Hi,

I'm using DS90UR905Q-Q1 as serializer and DS90UR910-Q1 as deserializer. The serializer board is made by gerber file from TI's website and the deserializer board is DS90UR910QEVM.

After connected the serializer and deserializer, the PASS and LOCK on DS90UR910-Q1 are always low and there is no any signal on the output. Now I do NOT configure any register, because it says that it is optional in the DS90UR910QEVM guide.

I MUST configue the register in DS90UR905Q-Q1 and DS90UR910-Q1. Is that right? Or is that optional?

If the register must be configured, what registers must be configured?

Hello,
Is the power applied properly on both boards? What cable are you using to connect the boards up?
You can follow the quick start guide instructions in the EVM user guide. If the power is applied properly and the switches and hardware connections are correct, the LED should light up indicating LOCK.

Hi,
The power is OK and the connection is LVDS cable. My question is: Is it a MUST to write the register in serializer and deserializer just for the test?

No special register writes should be necessary to get the LOCK to go high. If you are using the proper ALP device profile the default register values should be loaded up properly.

What is the video format in your case? and what is cable? if LOCK is hold low, it seems no signal is inputted correctly in UR910.
