TPS65982: TPS65982 Undocumented 4CC Commands (BIST)

Hello,

I had found a post on here which a TI employee mentioned that there is in fact an undocumented 4CC command called 'BIST but didn't have much more information than that. I'm looking to use this command to send BIST requests to a UUT, and would like to be able to specify which modes etc. I was wondering if anyone had more information on this command and any other undocumented commands?

Hi Zach,

We do not recommend using the BIST command in your system. BIST will run a Built-In Self Test of the TPS65982 and will not allow you to run your application program while it is in BIST mode.

There are no other undocumented 4CC Commands.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually would like to get another device into BIST modes by sending different BIST requests per the USB PD 2.0 spec(such as BIST carrier mode 2 etc.). Is there a 4CC command I can send in order to achieve this? Sorry if my original post was misleading.

Hi Zach,

We do not have a 4CC command that would make the connected device go into BIST mode.
