DP83848K: About auto negotiation restart to link

Part Number: DP83848K

When DP83848K set to hardware reset after auto negotiation complete to Link by 100BASE-TX Full Duplex, which operate Link again below ① or ②?

①Link by 100BASE-TX Full Duplex after a certain period of time.

②DP83848K is not to Link again. 

I think that correct is ①.

If my thinking is correct, please let me know about timing of Link again.

※Is timing 1500ms correct? (by datasheet page-29)

    Any update on this?

    I would like to correct my thinking mistake.
    If in the case of ②, is timing 2~3sec correct?
    (1500ms is mistake)

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    I am rewriting the questions you have : In your use-case, DP83848K is configured for Auto-negotiation and link is up. Now if some resets the DP83848K, what is the expectation  ?

    Yes, DP83848K on reset will re-initiate the Auto-Negotation cycle with Link Partner. Link-up time expected is similar to regular Link-up time. For Auto-negotiation, link-up time depends on how soon both DUT and Link-partner able to negotiate to common parameters.
