Hi,

I am working on developing one IP camera with USB port. To improve video signal quality, I want to add a USB3.0 redriver.

I found TUSB522P seems suitable for my application. Since I need it to be compatible with usb2.0, does TUSB522P can do this?

Or should I add another usb2.0 redriver like TUSB211, if do so, will there be any problem with two usb redriver?

When looking the datasheet of TUSB522P, I found the gain is all under 2.5GHz condition, but theoretically USB3.0' s bandwidth is 5GHz.

Does that mean under super-speed mode, USB3.0's TX and RX only has 2.5GHz clock frequency seperately?

If have any other better recommendation, please help to give suggestion. Thank you.

Huhutu,

TUSB522P is meant only for USB 3.1 and should be placed on the USB Super speed lines. A TUSB211 can be used for the USB High speed, I suggest using looking into TUSB212 if more functionality if needed.

There should be no problem with both USB redrivers as they affect separate lanes.

USB 3.0 operates at 5 Gbps which corresponds 2.5 GHz fundamental frequency which is why our device is characterized at 2.5 GHz.

Thanks a lot. So do you have any other recommendation about usb3.0 redriver with two channels to improve video signal quality through usb3.0 transmission?

And I noticed thers are parts can meet my requirement named SN65LVPE512 and SN65LVPE502x, but they both show NRND and recommend using TUSB522P which is usb3.1 redriver. Do you have other parts just like SN65LVPE512 and SN65LVPE502x?
