XIO2001: TI xio2001 memory decode range question

Dear TI,

We had Intel Sandybridge DT platform use TI XIO2001 PCIE to PCI bridge, and we had PCI card need memory address D0000h range. I see all FFh in memory D0000h.

in XIO2001 datasheet 8.4.19 table 19

The memory address only bit31:20 can be setting, that's means all memory below 1MB can't transfer to PCI bridge?

Above is a limitation of XIO2001 or PCIE?

Hello,

It means that 1MB is smallest size that will be transferred.

You can choose the upper limit, but cannot set the limit lower than 1MB.

This lower limit setting is a constraint from XIO2001.

Just like to confirm again, in this case my PCI card need D000-EFFFh address to access with AP is not working? Is above correctly? Cause this memory address range is below 1MB?

Hi Ronald,

I do not think the issue is related to the 1MB range. Please refer to PCIE to PCI bridge standard, and PCI standard for implementation.
