ONET1130EC: Too high jitter

Part Number: ONET1130EC

Hello
we have a 36 ps jitter at ONET1130EC, turning on of CDR haven't any effect.

There are another one thing we want point. Back front (marked orange arrows) has significant variations.
How to tune ONET1130EC to increase jitter and to improve the back front?

  • Hi Vladimir,

The jitter reported here seems to be much higher than what is expected from the ONET1130EC transmit side. I suspect the TOSA is adding significant additional noise- Have you looked at the electrical eye coming directly out of the TXOUT+ pin of the ONET1130EC?

Please send me the eye diagrams of the TXOUT+ pin and the corresponding drive conditions (BIAS current and TXMOD voltage value) to my email. Please see if you can capture results at different drive conditions (lower/higher Bias and TXMOD).

Because of the very high jitter, I believe the effect of the CDR is not being apparent here.

    Thanks,
    Sri
