Could you please provide details of the maximum distance, power and the data rate achieved with your example of the RS-485 Power Over Bus circuit board, also the recommended cable type.

    The data rate is around 10Mbps. It has lower end limit since it's signal is AC coupled. In the note, only 3.3V power is used, but obviously this could be higher like 10~20V. The cable was twisted pair and about 10ft. Similarly the distance could be much longer. The design was to prove the idea. Do you have any specific requirement for your application?
