DS90UB954-Q1: Pattern generation

Hi,

Customer now got problem while change 2 lane to 4 lane output. Project is normal running in 2 lane but 4 lane, so they trying to use pattern generation function for debugging.

They have tried to follow the step in datasheet but it doesn’t work, so ask for any further information for pattern generation setting.

1. If want 954 output 4 lanes data to CSI output, then after setting CSI as 4 lane output and enable Pattern Gen, can I get the pattern of 4 lane output?

2. Could you help to provide the setting step for “4 lane” CSI output.

Hello Chentsu,

For configuring the CSI settings, please refer to Table 63 in the DS90UB954-Q1 Datasheet. You will need to write 0x01 to Register 0x33 to enable 4 lane CSI output --> www.ti.com/.../ds90ub954-q1.pdf

As for enabling the Pattern Gen, please refer to this thread and use the example code to enable the Pattern Generator:

Hi Jonny,

Thanks for your response, our customer had tried the example code from the thread you posted.
But it didn't work, does it need initial before doing pattern gen?

Could you help to provide the example code not onlty the pattern gen but also the total setting from beginning.

can you elaborate what is the failure? it has nothing in csi2 port when you enable pattern generator? if yes, please check whether UB954 is running well firstly. thanks.
