TPS65981: TPS6598x, Application Cutomization tool, FTDI

Part Number: TPS65981

Hello,

I can't communicate via FTDI to I2C/SPI chip. There is still the same error:

<No FTDI I2C channels (I2C_GetNumChannels) detected, exiting....>

I have tested the proposed solutions, but without success. My Hardware Revision of TPS65981 EVM is ACS005-B, does that lead to problems?

Thanks,

R

  • Hi Robin,

    The FTDI drivers can be very picky based on the computer and operating system. However, we have included 3 different versions of the FTDI drivers that have had the most success among different systems. You can find them in Program Files --> Texas Instruments --> TPS65981_2_6 Application Customization 3_11 --> drivers --> ftdi.

    I would suggest uninstalling the FTDI driver you are currently using and installing one of the different versions. One of those 3 should work on your computer.
