Hello,

                Does MAX3243 support contact discharge 8.8KV & air discharge 16.5KV or not? Thank you.

    Hi Patrick,

    I assume you mean ESD testing per IEC 61000-4-2, correct? If so, MAX3243 was not designed to support this. I would recommend MAX3243E instead, which is similar but with enhanced ESD protection. It is specified for 8 kV contact / 15 kV air, although since this is a system-level test it would be best to evaluate it in your system to determine whether these slightly higher (+10%) specifications can be met.
