DS90UB933-Q1: DS90UB933 support YUV422 8 bit

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Hi Team

We have a project that use AR0237+AP0202 sensor.  we need  to transmit 1080/30fps YUV422 8bit image. we want to use DS90UB933 to relize it. Is that  ok ? How we calculate it ?

I see a equation below, how can i confirm DS90UB933 can support 1080/30fps YUV422 8bit ?  Another ,what is  mean ' blanking' in below equation ? what is unit ?

Net Data rate = HRES x VRES x (1+ blanking) * BPP * FR

where HRES and VRES are in pixels, BPP = bits per pixel and FR = Frame rate.

  • Hello Aggil,

The DS90UB933-Q1 can handle transmitting your specs. As long as you are sending it as RAW formatted data, than the other LVCMOS parallel input/output lines that are not in use can be left floating. Just be sure to check your PCLK frequency depending on if you are sending the 8 bit data in 10 bit or 12 bit mode.

Blanking in the equation is measured as a percentage, and represents the refresh rate from the end of the final line of a frame to the next and first horizontal/vertical lines on your imager. A typical value for this is 10%.
