TCA9548A: TCA9548A channel powered ON but TCA9548A is powered DOWN

Part Number: TCA9548A

I would like to know if there is any issue with the device TCA9548AMRGER being powered off and the the I2C channels remain powered?

Ie VCC=1.8V and SD3=2.5V, when 1.8V is powered OFF, 2.5V is powered ON

Thanks!

  • Hey JP,

Our switch Devices have all the gates of the pass FETs pulled low when Vcc is powered off. This means the device is high impedance so the two I2C bus channels are isolated.

There should be no issues if the device is not powered but the channels have pull up resisters that have voltages that are powered.
