Hi,
Could you confirm if TPS2546 have any over-voltage protection i.e. if our PSU supplying the TPS2546 develops a fault we could potentially damage the device plugged into the charging controller output.
Please could you verify this and if it is the case suggest an alternative part?

Thank you for posting your question here on E2E.
No, the TPS2546 does not have any internal over voltage supply. Per the datasheets maximum ratings, the part can only take a max of 7V before potential damage to the device.
However, the part does have internal current protection that reduces the output voltage when an overcurrent condition is detected.
