Basically when connect this DAC38RF8x EVM to a TSW14J56 pattern without doing anything further just powered both, the LED tell that there are some problems from DAC38RF8x EVM to go further. Here is the story.
Using FTDI FT_Prog software and following the instruction I successfully recover what missed part in FDTI chip, as now that DAC board can connect to DAC GUI software. By seeing the detail in the FT_Prog and the .xml configure file loaded, I can tell this process just restore some default information in the chip EERROM which requires by GUI to connect. That is reasonable as I would overwrite some EEPROM information by accident in my program once.
Since I ordered a second DAC EVM board recently, so I can compare my FTDI programming and from GUI. I found after repaired, the old board can work itself such as connecting to DAC GUI and with all the expect results from the DAC GUI configuration such as download Defaults, Configure DAC, etc., with right output signal on its output pin (J24).
But when connect to the pattern board (TSW14J56) it did not work. I found the basic symptom is different than the new DAC board on the three LEDs of D8, D9 and D10. When the new DAC board connect to TSW14J56, those LEDs are all display solid green color, but they are all red color when connect to old DAC board. That means there is still something wrong on the old DAC board though repaired the FTDI part. The TSW14J56 board is alright as shown.
With your knowledge would you tell what is the problem or what could be related to find out? I am sure the hardware of board should be fine as I am very careful on power supply, signal amplitude etc when testing.
Thanks for the help!
