TUSB211: Device can not be recognized

Hi Team,

We double confirm the waveform on TUSB211 EVM, and get the fail waveform when the device can not be recognized.

USB structure as below.

USB Host-->5m cable-->TUSB211 EVM-->20cm cable-->USB device.

We tried every EQ setting on TUSB211 EVM, or even chnge to TUSB212 EVM, but still got the same fail waveform.

Could you help to verify what issue cause this fail waveform and cause device can not be recognized?

(CH1-VBUS, CH2-DM, CH3-DP, CH4-VREG)

We use EVM to verify.

Customer board also got this fail symptom.

Did you short the DPs together and the DMs together below the device?

Yes. The DPs together and the DMs together below the device.

We have also tried to remove TUSB212, then the device can be detected.

Is there possible that TUSB212 affect USB2.0 signal communication?

What kind of USB device is it that is trying to be recognized and have you tried other USB devices? What is the host? Why is your VBUS not at 5V on the scope capture? can you leave the TUSB211 or TUSB212 soldered down and put the device in reset and see if the Host still recognizes the device? also can you zoom in on the scope capture where VREG goes low again?

Dear Michael,

Thanks for your help.
The USB device is a camera module, and the host is a PC.
The CH1 is VCC, not VBUS. Sorry for the typo.
We remove the TUSB211, let the PC connect to camera directly. The PC can recognize the camera.

Can you leave the TUSB211 or TUSB212 soldered down and put the device in reset and see if the Host still recognizes the device? also can you zoom in on the scope capture where VREG goes low again?
