DS75176B: Recommended alternative parts

Hello,

for many years we use the DS75176B for our master devices and the SN75176B for the slaves. For us, that was the only stable working solution. Now that the DS75176B is EOL and the SN65176BD is the recommended alternative part, we are worried the SN65176BD could cause trouble devices.
What exactly is the difference between SN75176B, DS75176B and SN65176BD?

Hi Christoph,

Do you have any more info on how you settled on the DS* version for the master side and the SN* version for the slave side as the only working solution? What problems did you see when using the SN* version on the master side? Although these devices were independently designed, they were intended to be very similar in terms of their electrical performance. Looking over each set of specs, there are not a lot of differences that I would expect to result in issues when swapping one for the other.
