SN75DP130: Datasheet Specs Clarification

Hello,

Can you please clarify the SN75DP130 VOCM(PP) “Output common-mode noise” datasheet parameter/value ? It states “HBR2” but then has two values (20 and 30 mVrms).

a. Is this supposed to be 20mVrms for RBR/HBR and 30mVms for HBR2?

b. Why is this listed as TYP but in order to meet VESA CTS Spec it should be MAX?

Here is the correct table.

The output common-mode noise is a informative spec and not a required spec.

To follow up on the second question, is there any documentation we can reference that shows common mode noise spec is not required?

Reading the DP spec, it looks like it may be required:

“VESA® DisplayPort® PHY Compliance Test Specification”, Version 1.2b, November 26, 2012
“3.10.5 Pass/Fail Criteria
The measured AC common mode noise shall not exceed 20mVrms for HBR and RBR; 30mV for HBR2.
(Reference Table 9-6 of DP 1.2a )”

If you scroll up to the previous page of the CTS spec, under heading of section 3.10 AC common mode noise, it shows this test is informative.
