DS90UB913A-Q1: 10-bit 12-bit Mode Switch with Register

Part Number: DS90UB913A-Q1

[ DS90UB913A-Q1 ] 10-bit 12-bit Mode Switch with Register

Hi,

Can you help to clarify whether 10-bit/12-bit mode can be switched with DS90UB913A-Q1's 0x05 register?

From the datasheet, it seems that these registers are read-only, however, other thread (see related link) discussed that 10-bit or 12-bit can be switched by changing these read-only register.
Can you confirm whether 10-bit and 12-bit mode can be switched with these registers?

Also, the related post indicates that bis map is also not valid. Can you check this as well?

Thanks,
Ken

  • Hi Kenichiro,

The reserved bits will allow you to change between 10-bit or 12-bit. If you want 10-bit, please set 0x05[0] = 1 and if you want 12-bit, please set 0x05[1] = 1. In addition to setting these bits, please also set 0x05[5] = 1, as that selects the Mode Override. Please let me know if this fixes your issue or you are still having problems.

It's good information. I hope this will be added to the datasheet.
