LMH0340: FPGA video framing

Hi,

I found below picture in an old thread. My customer has the same request. They only design the SDI serializer output by LMH0340. It must be compatible with the deserializer of the screen.

My customer want to know what the LVDS data is like, so they can program the FPGA. I learned from that thread that it needs a FPGA video framing. How to do the FPGA video framing? It is better that we have an example code. Or, you could tell how to design the LVDS data.

    Hi Jerry,

    Are you referring to the parallel LVDS data or the serialized SDI data?

    The parallel LVDS data is in an FPGA DDR format, and there is example code available for the FPGAs: http://www.ti.com/tool/broadcast_video_serdes_ip. For more details about specifics for coding, we recommend that you consult an FPGA vendor.

    Regarding the serialized SDI data between serializer (LMH0340) output and deserializer input, this data is standard SDI format. Therefore, if you have a screen whose deserializer can accept SDI data, that will be sufficient for a working interface.
