Hello.
I’m looking for a very small package RS232 transceiver (3.3V supply, 1Mbps, Enable option). One Rx and one Tx only.
I’m also looking for a UART buffer (buffering between my CPU and an external display unit). 3.3V supply.
Please Advise,
Gilad.
Gilad,
Thank you for your question.
Please consider the TRS3227E RS-232 tranceiver (1Mbps, 3.3V-5V supply range, single channel, with Enable). The datasheet may be found here:
For your UART inquiry, do you have a preference for number of channels, and number of FIFOs?

Hi Max.
Can you please help with my question regarding the UART "Buffer"?
I want to protect my CPU UART interface from any damage from the external device i'm connected to.
I know its an unusual request to connect UART directley from the CPU to an external device, it is more custom to connect RS232\485 to an external device via transceiver, but this is the requirement.
I need to Drive the UART RX and TX about 500mm fro end to end and also protect my CPU (as mentioned above), using UART interface (1Mbps max).
Any idea?
Gilad.
Dear Gilad,
Have you looked into our TVS surge protection devices ?
