TLK110: About PMD-input

Part Number: TLK110

Hi teams

I recognize that the PMD-input on the receiving side is "TP-PMD compliant" as standard, but does PMD-input of 100 Mbase-TX of TLK 110 conform to "TP-PMD compliant"?

Can you think that it is the same as the following description of DP83848?

best regards

Hayashi

  • Hi,

IEEE defines compliance requirement transmitter only.

Thank you for your reply, but I am not satisfied with your answer.
I just want to know that "Does PMD-input of 100 Mbase-TX of TLK 110 conform to "TP-PMD compliant"?"

And, I think TLK110 is compliant to IEEE802.3. so, Is TLK110 compliant to the following contents as well?
IEEE 802.3 14.3.1.3.2 Receiver differential noise immunity (10BASE-T)
    IEEE 802.3 25.4.9.3.1 External coupled noise (100BASE-TX)

If TLK110 is compliant, please let me know the value of reject level.

    Best regards

  • Hello Hayashi-san,

All TI 10/100 Phy are IEEE compliant. The parts go thru UNH Compliance test.

100Base-TX section 25.4.9.3.1 is primarily for the cable and not for Phy reciever.

For 10Base-Te section : I thought your question was limited to 100Base-TX only. IEEE specifies minimal of 585 mV and max of 3.1V as spec for 10Base-T.
