Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you

Our end customer would like to make a special test method, could you help to verify it?

Would be able to short Pin6 and Pin7 and release it.

They want to check CAN bus connection ability.

Is it correct?

    Hi Shu-Cheng,

    While the CAN communication will not work with pins 6 and 7 shorted, the device should not become damaged. The output driver limits the short-circuit current that is sourced/sunk and in case of excess power dissipation the chip may enter over-temperature shut-down.
