DS90UB949-Q1: DS90UB949-Q1 to ds90ub948 dispaly anormaly

Part Number: DS90UB949-Q1

Hi team,

Two scenario the system could work normally:
1, PC HDMI output, through 949EVM to 940mipi to i.max6 to screen.

2, i.max LVDS output to DS90UB947 to DS90UB948 to screen.

However,

PC HDMI output to DS90ub949EVM to DS90ub948 to Screen, Display anormaly, As attachment 0x22 no set 24bit Video picture

If, I set ub948 0x22(2) to 18bit Video,Display normaly (but the screen is dark),As attachment 0x22 set 18bit video picture

We test Imax6 HDMI output 24bitRGB444 to DS90ub949 to DS90ub948 to Screen,

Then the same need set ub948 to 18bit Video ,display normal(but the screen is dark),if use ub948 24Bit RGB,then display anomaly.

Qustion:

A, Why the PC HDMI output or i.max6 HDMI output 24bit RGB444 via 949EVM to 948 to screen display is anormai? if set 948 to 18bit bedio, it could show the content but the screen is very dim. if they don's do this setting, the display couldn't show anything. As figure show.

B, if they want use i.max6 HDMI output 24bit RGB444 then use 949 and 948 to play 24bit rgb, Is there a special setting?

or DS90UB949 just accept 24bit RGB888 or 16bit RGB666?

Regards,

Maksim

TI: it should have no problem when you pair the UB949 and UB948 link. please dump the UB949's registers and UB948's registers in your case for further analysis.

B, if they want use i.max6 HDMI output 24bit RGB444 then use 949 and 948 to play 24bit rgb, Is there a special setting?
TI: Sorry, UB948 has NO color space convert function. please make sure the video source format is same as the output video format. So the link UB948 and UB948 can't support RGB444 input and RGB888 output.

    best regards,
    Steven
