DS90UB913A-Q1: DS90UB913A-Q1 for 160K pixel camera

Part Number: DS90UB913A-Q1

I would like to use the DS90UB913A-Q1 for a medical application with a 160K pixel camera.  The camera uses a 4MHz clock.  Can the serializer be used successfully with an 8MHz external clock?

8.4.2 DS90UB913A/914A Operation with Pixel Clock from Imager as Reference Clock The DS90UB913A/914A chipsets can be operated by using the pixel clock from the imager as the reference clock. Figure 17 shows the operation of the DS90UB913A/914A chipsets using the pixel clock from the imager. If the DS90UB913A-Q1 device is operated using the pixel clock from the imager as the reference clock, then the imager uses an external oscillator as its reference clock. There are 4 GPIOs available in this mode (PCLK from imager mode).

I was planning on connecting the 8MHz to the GPIO3 pin and using the divide by 2 output (4MHz) on the GPIO2 pin and XCLK_IN to the camera interface.  The '914 would then operate on the PCLK input.  Will this work?
