Dear Sir,
DP83848I is a single port 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet transceiver. It can be easily connected to 100 Base-TX (Fast Ethernet) RJ45 like J0011D21BNL. My question is, is it possible to connect DP83848I to a Gigabit RJ45 connector like 0821-1X1T-43-F? 0821-1X1T-43-F has two Tx and two Rx port, DP83848I has only one Tx and one Rx port. So can I just let 0821-1X1T-43-F unused one Tx and Rx port unconnected and floating? Looking forward to your reply soon. Thank you.
