Hi,

In evaluating the TPD4S014 EVM, the primary thing we were looking for was how it would fail at voltages beyond its absolute max.

 

The part blew up at about 50 V and failed open. Can you tell us if this part will commonly (perhaps always) fail open when the absolute max voltage on the input is exceeded?
