TCAN1042-Q1: About internal pull-up value of TXD

Part Number: TCAN1042-Q1

Hello Team,

When measuring the TXD pin in the open state with an oscilloscope, it was 4.5V.
Since the internal pull-up value of the TXD pin is a weak pull-up value, is it thought that the voltage drop owing to leakage current flowing when measuring with an oscilloscope?
What is the internal pull-up value of TXD?

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hello Kato,

The TCAN1042 Datasheet specifies the pull-up current for the TXD pin at a maximum of 2.5uA at VCC=5.5V. It would seem strange that the TXD pin should drop as low as 4.5V during your measurement.

Could you measure the current at the TXD pin for your setup? Can you provide the value of VCC for which you see TXD=4.5V?
Just to make sure, does any additional impedance exist on the TXD pin in your setup (external resistors, low oscilloscope impedance, etc.)?

    Best Regards,
    Max Megee
