I am trying to get familiar with the x934/x933 IC and currently have the EVM's connected per the use's guide. I do not have an imager available and i cannot find much information on what to do to be able to evaluate functionality of the IC without an imager. Are there any recommendations?

    Hello,
    You can verify the Ser/Des link is up and running correctly by verifying the LOCK output. Please refer to the EVM user guides (for both the Ser and Des) for additional information.

    The DS90UB934 does not support internal pattern generator to verify the interface (the newer FPD-Link ADAS devices such as 953/954 have this feature), but you can use BIST mode to verify functionality. Refer to the device datasheet for details.

    You can also look at the training video we have on the FPD-Link learning center (link below) on the diagnostic features that the FPD-Link devices offer.
