DS90UB954-Q1: How do we set the registers in 2 camera (Input Channel 0 and 1) system

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

TI team

Thank you for always support to us.

I understood the DS90UB954-Q1 support dual inputs.
I have three questions.

Our system has two same cameras(means each camera's serializer is the same slave adress.)

1. How can we get to change the output signal from port_0 to port_1 (or from port_1 to port_0) during operation ?
Could you tell us the output signal changing command?
2.  If the DS90UB954-Q1 set to dual mode when power on, could the DS90UB954 get the remote access to each camera(DS90UB953 and remote device) on same timing ?
※ If only one camera is connected, will the error be occurred?
3.  If the DS90UB954-Q1 set to dual mode after power on, could the DS90UB954 get the remote access to each camera indivdualy?

Thanks and best regards,
Kinugawa.

  • Kinugawa-san,
The RX port selection can be done through the RX_PORT_CTL register 0x0C in the 954 deserializer where one or both ports can be disabled when not used.
To select the registers corresponding to port 0 or 1, use register FPD3_PORT_SEL 0x4C. For port forwarding control use register FWD_CTL1 0x20.
Please refer to the 954 datasheet section 7.4.6 for details.
