SN65MLVD205A: V|AB| or V|YZ|

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask SN65MLVD205A?
On the datasheet P5, there is the description which V|AB| or V|YZ| are min 480mV to max 650mV.
On the test Figure 14. Differential Output Voltage Test Circuit, are A/Y and B/Z's voltage follows?
-A/Y : 0.7V-1.3V(Alternately)
-B/Z : 1.3V-0.7V(Alternately)

Hello Matsumoto-san,
If I understand your question right, you are asking about the specific output voltage. As stated in section 10.2.2.4 Driver Output Voltage, the driver outputs a steady state common mode voltage of 1 V with a differential signal of 540 V under nominal
conditions. So basically the voltage you see on the 2 outputs will normally be: 1-0.27=0.73V and 1+0.27=1.27V. Very close to what you mentioned.

OK, we got it.

Just in case, we would like to one point.
We assume that M-LVDS is possible to use with Point-to-Point configuration.(1 : 1 configuration)
In this case, which termination resister value does it prefer to use?
-50ohm
-100ohm

We assume that termination resistor 100ohm is good for output voltage magnitude.

Hello Matsumoto-san,

In this case, use double termination, with 2 - 100 ohm terminations, one at each side. Using 50 ohm, while it provides the right load, may results more reflections, as the termination is not matching the line impedance.
