Hi,

I have a DS90ub940  that is connected to a serializer and the serializer is connected to a camera.

I am able to generate patterns from the DS90ub940   and display them, but I am not able to see the video coming from the FDPlink.

I checked if LOCK signal goes HIGH but it is always low, should I configure something on the DS90ub940 ? I can configure DS90ub940  using the I2C.

Up to now I configured the following:

 0x6B YUV422_8 (0x50)

 0x6A  LANE_CNE (0x0)  4 lanes

    Hello,
    What serializer are you using and what is your PCLK?
    You can verify the link between serializer and deserializer by running BIST mode and checking for PASS. Please refer to the deserializer datasheet for additional information on BIST.

    Many thanks for the quick answer.

    Unfortunately I do not know which serializer is used, as it is in a device not manufactured internally; I must trust what I have been told, it is compatible with DS90ub940 and it is from TI.

    Is there a sequence to get the serializer id from the deserializer?

    BISTC is 0 so PCLK should came from the image format that is 1280x720@60.

    In the manual I see a note at page 16:

    1280x720p60; PCLK = 74.25MHz; 4 MIPI lanes reg0x6c=0x02; reg0x6d=0x84

    Reg 0x6c is CSIIA and 0x6d is CSIID, but the offset in Table13 for CSI are 0x9,0x13,0x14,0x16,0x2E; I cannot find offset 0x2. Am I using the wrong manual or missing something?

    Any news about this issue?
    I am still not able to get LockBit of Register 0x1C high (0x2[7]=1 and 0x2[4]=1).
    I also set 0x43[6] to 1 hoping to get Lock high also without video. What am I missing?

    Another issue, I have is that I configured MODE_SEL1 with pull-up and pull-down register to CSI0/20Mbps/STP but I get is 0x37=88.
    Please advice.

    Hello Ieio,

    It is important to know which Serializer is connected to know if Backward mode is necessary or not. Also it is important to know how the Serializer is connected and configured. Please ask the manufacturer from where you bought the other unit to send you the schematics; otherwise it is not easy to get it working!!

    What is the Video source, is it a camera?

    Normally if the devices are compatible and similarly configured, you will get immediately LOCK high.
