TUSB9261: TUSB9261 be recognized as USB Mass Storage

Part Number: TUSB9261

Dear Team,

The application is tablet. My customer would like to use an USB pen drive to boot up the system through TUSB9261.

But due to the system thought that TUSB9261 is a USB Mass Storage Device, it tried to boot up from TUSB9261 instead of USB pen drive. So the system fails to boot up from USB pen drive.

May I know why TUSB9261 reports it is a USB Mass Storage Device? Is it a correct device type for it?

If not, what is the correct device type?

Thank you.

  • Hi Jim,

I'm not sure I understand your question.  TUSB9261 is a USB to SATA bridge and is supposed to be a Mass Storage Device so that is the correct behavior.  Since the pen drive and TUSB9261 are both USB mass storage devices, they will need to manually select the boot device if possible.

    Regards,
