DS91C180: How to terminate M-LVDS for 1:1 connection.

Hi Team,

Could you please tell me how to design termination when using M-LVDS for 1:1 connection ?

Generally, M-LVDS uses double termination on the bus line, 100 Ohm on one end and another 100 Ohm on the other end.

I believe the M-LVDS devices are differential 100 Ohm driver, so would you need to connect 100 Ohm on driver side and another 100 Ohm on the receiver side ?

What happens if you just terminate with one 100 Ohm at receiver side ? I think the amplitude would be 1100mV, however, could the device allow this voltage ?

Some user prefers M-LVDS instead of LVDS to achieve longer cable reach since having higher amplitude.
