PCA9306: Question of PCA9306 200kR Connection

Hi Sirs,

Would you pls advise the function of the 200kR at EN and VREF2 in the PCA9306 reference design? Can we connect VREF2 to 3.3V directly and pull up the EN with different resistance?

Wayne,

It is important to have the resistance on VREF2, so you should not connect this pin directly to a power supply. The resistance provides current limiting to the gate bias circuitry that helps prevent damage from occurring.
