UCC21220: Can UCC21220 support SiC MOSFET and IGBT

Hi ,

My customer considering use UCC21220 for UPS project, they would like to confirm if UCC21220 can support SiC MOSFET and Miller Clamp for IGBT?

    Hello Eddie,

    I am an applications engineer supporting UCC21220. UCC21220 has a recommended supply voltage of 18V, so it is unlikely to support SiC MOSFET or IGBT with split supply. UCC21220 can support IGBT if the supply voltage is 18V or less.

    UCC21220 does not have a miller clamp feature.

    We do have some single channel drivers such as UCC5350 and ISO5452 which can support SiC MOSFET and IGBT with miller clamp.
