Hi Joe,

The TUSB9261 supports 12-byte and 16-byte ATA Pass-Through commands with data length up to 64KB which can be used to send any generic ATA command such as SMART. Take care to properly populate all fields in the command to avoid command failure.

Hi Brian,

We check TUSB9261 status by RW is SCSI. I think we need load ATA command via SCSI command INTERFACE for function. Could you confirm the command interface is? Thanks.

Hi Joe,

Yes, that is correct. ATA Pass-through is via SCSI. As the name indicates it's a way to pass an ATA command directly to the device through the SCSI protocol.
