CCS/DP83822IF: MII interface in TX mode only

Hello,

For a new design in a security system, we need to transmit only data from the system to the Ethernet optical fiber. No receive must be implemented between the tranceiver and the system.

We are looking to use the DP83822IF. This component will be in charge to establish the link on the fibers with the other system and generate the packet including the data from the system..

The Phy will be configurated in MII mode. The system will not have any MAC IP. 

Is it possible to connect  only the TX signals (TX_CLK, TX_EN, TXD [0..3], CRS and COL) and do not connect the RX and MDIO signals between the PHY and the system?
