TUSB7340: Datasheet contradictions

Please advise regarding below:

  1. what value resistor should be used in parallel to the crystal?  Datasheet text says 2Meg but Figure 10 shows 1Meg
  2. Is ball B8 a power pin or no connect?  The table shows NC but schematic shows it connected to VDD.
